I had never lived in a country for more than 3 years until I was an adult. As the daughter of an Israeli ambassador our home was wherever we were sent. I went to a total of 12 schools in five countries. As a little girl, I remember sitting at my school desk, not understanding a word that the other pupils around me were speaking. You can bet that I learnt to speak their language quickly! I very soon understood that what was the right thing to do in one country was rude in another; that once I got used to spicy food in one city, it was time for different flavors in another, and that if I wanted friends, I had to go out there and reach out. So I did, and my best friends were from many different ethnicities, cultures and backgrounds. The diversity the world has to offer gave me a sense of universality.
My parent's love of art and collection of art from around the world transferred to me, and from a young age I began to create. Sculpture was my first love and my large sculptures of bold African women line my living room. When I was introduced to glass it was love at first sight! The colors, the hues, the textures it was so exciting. I began to collect glass beads from Italy, where their dramatic and breathtaking silver-and-gold-lined beads are world-renown. I soon discovered a remote mountain tribe in Thailand that for centuries has hand-beaten each tiny silver bead. Israel is well-known for its sterling silver and I soon acquired magnificent hand-created beads. Flying the astronauts to space required very high pressured glass which, when color is added to it, creates the most magnificent dichroic bead made right here in the United States. The world-famous liquid silver necklaces made in New Mexico, are created one tiny bead at a time.
I scour the world for the best it has to offer and use these pieces to create deep, dramatic pieces, each of which is made with love, caring and attention to detail with only the very best. I started designing pieces for myself and my friends but very soon people would stop me in elevators, on the street, at airports and ask where they too could purchase a unique Dramatic Design Jewelry creation. Now these pieces are sold in exclusive boutiques and high-end gift stores all over.
Wearing a Dramatic Design Jewelry piece will make any woman feel special, like a queen. Whether it's with an evening gown or worn with jeans, these pieces make a statement!
It is my pleasure to create these treasures for you. Be a queen and wear your magnificent piece proudly!
